Today was the exhibition. The costumes looked just amazing!

The last few days everyone has been busy with setting up their costumes. Some had to finish several parts of their costume or had to iron it for the exhibition. The students showing costumes which their made last term. That’s why I haven’t a costume. So I took care of the advertising and made the poster for the exhibition which you can see in the post below.
How can you coordinate the colour in stage lighting, costumes and set so they all work well together. It is obviously pretty hard. Stage light changes the colour of your designed costume totally. So it is important to thing about the influence of the light within the designing progress.

The aim of this project is to introduce the importance and influence of light on how costume is seen. This will be facilitated by the designing and building of a costume exhibition comprising of a selection of the second year costumes – Midsummer Night’s Dream, during which we will experience the processes and problems involved. This will be achieved trough group discussion and experimentation, resulting in a show that is of our creation which has incorporated many new and different areas of understanding and consideration.
The exhibition will run from 2-3 pm on Friday 22nd February and will be open to an invited audience.
